FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – It was anything but an ordinary Sunday at the Kato Paphos Municipal Baths, where bathers were treated to a rare and dazzling encounter.

Two dolphins appeared in the shallows, slicing through the morning light and sending ripples of excitement across the water.

Swimmers paused mid-stroke, beachgoers rushed to the edge, and cameras clicked as the graceful pair glided effortlessly just meters from shore.

Dolphins are no strangers to the waters around Cyprus, but sightings this close to land—especially in a bustling beach zone—are a true spectacle.

Their sudden appearance added a touch of wild magic to a place already steeped in charm.

The Kato Paphos Municipal Baths, affectionately known as Ta Bania, are a favorite among locals and visitors.

With deep, crystal-clear waters and a laid-back vibe, the area offers a perfect blend of relaxation and tradition. Wooden platforms stretch out over the sea, inviting swimmers to dive into the blue, while nearby cafés and the iconic Paphos Castle complete the postcard-perfect scene.

But on this particular morning, the spotlight belonged to the dolphins. For a few unforgettable moments, nature took center stage—and reminded everyone that the sea always has surprises in store.
