Larnaca Criminal Court has slapped a 13 year prison term on a 23-year-old found guilty of importing and possessing 25 kilograms of cannabis.
In a statement from the Police Communication Department, it is stated that “on September 19, upon his arrival at Larnaca airport from a foreign country, the 23-year-old was checked by customs officials, in collaboration with members of the Anti-Narcotics Service (YKAN)”.
During the check, 45 nylon packages were found in the luggage of the 23-year-old and were confiscated, containing dry plant matter of cannabis, with a total gross weight of 25 kg and 610 grams.
