Eight Killed in Israeli Strike in South Lebanon, Officials Say

Eight people were killed in an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon on Sunday morning, including three women, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said, reporting a rise in Israeli military activity in the area.

Israel says its intensified air and ground operations are targeting Hezbollah positions.

The attack hit the town of Deir Zahrani in the Nabatieh district and left 19 others wounded, among them several children and women, according to local authorities.
