A federal judge who temporarily halted President Donald Trump’s plan to send 200 Oregon National Guard troops to Portland has now extended the order, blocking the deployment of troops from other states as well.
Overnight, it emerged that Trump had ordered 400 members of the Texas National Guard to be stationed in Illinois, Oregon, and additional states.
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker sharply criticized the move, calling it a violation of state sovereignty.
