At Least 350 Tourists Rescued After Snowstorm on Mount Everest

At least 350 tourists have been rescued after being stranded by a snowstorm on the Tibetan side of Mount Everest, according to Chinese media reports.

The group was evacuated to the nearest settlement, Qudang.

Earlier estimates suggested that nearly 1,000 people were trapped at an altitude of around 4,900 meters.

It remains unclear how many are still stranded.

Several individuals are reported to be injured, though no fatalities have been confirmed.
