FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – France expressed deep concern on Saturday over escalating tensions in southern Lebanon, condemning rocket attacks launched into Israel from Lebanese territory and urging Israel to exercise restraint in its retaliatory strikes.
In a statement from the foreign ministry, France appealed to all parties to honor the ceasefire agreement established in November 2024, stressing that further escalation could jeopardize the security of Lebanon, Israel, and the broader region.
The ministry also emphasized the importance of preserving recent advancements that have enhanced safety for both Israelis and Lebanese along the Blue Line.
