The Health Insurance Organization says one of its priorities is improving and simplifying beneficiary access to the Gesy platform through mobile devices.
Monica Kyriakou, director of services at the HIO, said the upgrade is expected to ease the workload of personal doctors, who are often contacted by patients for routine administrative matters such as referrals.
She added that the organization is also evaluating additional medicines that could soon be prescribed by personal doctors rather than exclusively by specialists, as is currently the case.
