ATHENS — Konstantinos Karancalos, secretary general for telecommunications and postal services at Greece’s Ministry of Digital Governance and Technology, met with Diofantos Hadjimitsis, a lecturer at Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) and CEO of the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence (ECoE), to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of space exploration.
According to Fileleftheros, the meeting also included Dr. Haris Kontoe, research director at the National Observatory of Athens.
During the talks, Karancalos briefed Hadjimitsis and Kontoe on Greece’s plans to launch seven observation satellites by 2026.
The officials emphasized the importance of advancing joint initiatives between Greece and Cyprus in the space sector.
