FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Hamas said Monday evening that its leadership is reviewing a Gaza peace proposal received from mediators and will submit a response once internal consultations are complete.
In a statement, the group said it is studying the proposal “with great national responsibility” and will provide feedback “as soon as the necessary consultations are completed.”
Hamas reaffirmed its core demands for any agreement, including a permanent ceasefire, the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, a prisoner exchange, the launch of a reconstruction process, and an end to the blockade on the region.
The group did not disclose details of the proposal.
Since March 18, at least 1,613 Palestinians have been killed and 4,233 others injured amid intensified Israeli strikes, according to Gaza-based health officials.
