FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – An Israeli airstrike early Tuesday targeted the Sfeir area in Beirut’s southern suburbs, killing one Hezbollah member and three civilians, according to al-Mayadeen TV.
The strike destroyed a building, damaged nearby structures, and prompted the Lebanese army to secure the area.
Civil defense teams and ambulances worked to rescue people trapped under rubble and transport the injured to hospitals.
This marks the second airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs since a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah in November 2024.
The Israeli military stated that the earlier strike on Friday targeted a Hezbollah drone storage facility near Beirut.
