FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Jack in the Box, a San Diego-based fast-food giant, announced plans to close 150 to 200 locations as part of efforts to improve financial performance.

Between 80 and 120 of these closures are expected by the end of 2025, according to local reports.

The company, which operates about 2,200 stores across 22 states, aims to accelerate cash flow and reduce debt, the CEO said.

Additionally, spending on new restaurant development will be significantly reduced starting next year.

Jack in the Box is also considering “strategic alternatives” for the Del Taco brand, which it acquired in 2022 for $585 million.

Del Taco, the second-largest Mexican-American quick-service chain, operates around 600 locations.
