The head of the Jordanian Businessmen Association, Ayman Al‑Alaouneh, met Tuesday with Turkish Ambassador Yakup Caymazoglu to explore ways to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Al‑Alaouneh stressed the importance of expanding investment partnerships and trade exchanges, noting that a joint business council would help establish sustainable ventures and increase bilateral commerce. He called for better communication between Jordanian and Turkish business leaders, sharing information on opportunities and easing obstacles facing investors.

He also urged the full reopening of the Syrian‑Turkish border to facilitate smoother trade flows and boost Jordanian exports to Turkey.

Caymazoglu highlighted the need to deepen economic relations and said the next session of the Jordan‑Turkey Joint Committee will be held in Ankara. He added that workshops and new programs for the joint business council are planned, and the embassy is ready to provide support to promote investment opportunities in Jordan, citing Turkish interest in promising sectors. ■
