Byblos Bank has introduced a new feature on its BO2 digital banking app that allows customers to open multiple wallets in different currencies linked to a single card.
In addition to U.S. dollars, users can now hold balances in euros, British pounds, Canadian dollars, Saudi riyals, UAE dirhams and Lebanese pounds. The app enables instant currency conversion at preferential rates and supports payments abroad or online shopping without cross‑border fees or extra exchange margins. Transactions are automatically deducted from the relevant wallet, with a backup feature that shifts funds from the dollar wallet if balances run short.
Joumana Bassil, deputy general manager and head of retail banking at Byblos Bank, said the launch reflects the bank’s commitment to innovation and meeting evolving customer needs. “By offering the first multi‑currency wallet package in Lebanon on a single screen, BO2 empowers clients with greater flexibility and control over their money worldwide,” she said.
The feature is designed for travelers, students abroad and frequent online shoppers, reinforcing BO2’s push to deliver smarter, borderless digital banking experiences.
