The Meteorological Department issued a new yellow warning Monday for isolated strong thunderstorms and gale‑force winds, in effect until 8 a.m.
Forecasters said winds will be strong to near‑gale, with gusts that may reach 9 Beaufort. The most intense conditions are expected along coastal areas and windward mountain slopes. Hail is possible in storm cells.
Rainfall intensity may locally exceed 35 millimetres per hour, the department said.
