Israel attacked military facilities in the coastal region of Tartus in Syria on Sunday, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
The Tartus region faces the Mediterranean.
According to SOHR, the Israeli attacks targeted air defense equipment and missile depots. The group described the attacks as “the most powerful attacks on Syria’s coastal region since the attacks began in 2012.”
