It was stated that the number of passengers in Cyprus for the period January-December 2024 increased by 5.6 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and by 9.1 percent compared to the pre-pandemic data of 2019.
The Politis newspaper included data on passenger traffic at Larnaca and Paphos airports based on data from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
The newspaper wrote that the largest markets in 2024 were the United Kingdom, Greece, Israel, Poland and Germany with a total of 7.8 million (64%) passengers, and that the most important destinations were London and Athens with 1.4 million passengers, and Tel Aviv, Thessaloniki, Manchester and Vienna with approximately 1 million passengers.
