The first round of the presidential elections in Poland, to be held in the spring, will take place on May 18, the country’s parliament has announced.
According to Speaker Szymon Hołownia, the second round of the election will be held on June 1, if necessary.
The pro-EU government in Poland hopes that its candidate will win the election and thus replace the outgoing conservative president, Andrzej Duda .
