Police in Limassol are investigating an online fraud amounting to two million, eight hundred thousand euros.
The complainants are two foreign permanent residents of Cyprus, who reported that their digital wallets containing their personal investments in cryptocurrencies were breached.
Investigations by members of the Limassol Financial Crimes Department yielded testimony against a specific person who was arrested.
The arrested person was brought before the Limassol District Court and remanded in custody.
