Rainfall in Cyprus reached 238% of the normal average for May, according to new data from the Meteorological Department, totaling 46.7 millimeters.
Officials said every monitoring station recorded rainfall above the monthly norm, with some areas receiving nearly four times their usual levels.
The highest total was logged in Prodromos, which recorded 127.2 millimeters, followed by Saittas and Stavros tis Psokas, the department said.
