A Red Wings Airlines Boeing 777 bound for Phuket returned to Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport late Wednesday after one of its engines caught fire, officials said.
The airport reported the aircraft landed safely at 10:53 p.m. local time after “special measures” were taken. Emergency services said the blaze in the second engine was extinguished.
Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency said 412 passengers and 13 crew members were on board. No injuries were reported.
