FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Cyprus is carrying out repatriation flights Wednesday to return thousands of Israelis who were stranded abroad due to escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The operation is centered at Larnaca International Airport.
Maritime evacuation efforts are also underway. According to Cyprus state broadcaster CyBC, between June 12 and June 20, approximately 190 vessels transported 1,500 individuals from Israel to Larnaca Marina. During the same period, 1,200 Israelis traveled homeward by sea.
