Almost 30 percent of employees in Cyprus earn less than €1,500 in gross monthly income, according to figures reported Wednesday by Politis and other local media.
Citing data from the Cypriot Statistical Service, the reports said 43.9 percent of workers fall into the €1,500–€2,999 income bracket.
Another 15.5 percent earn between €3,000 and €4,499 a month, while 6.7 percent make between €4,500 and €5,999.
Just 3.8 percent of employees earn more than €6,000 monthly.
