FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A Romanian man has been charged with arson at a property linked to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, authorities said.
British police previously said two people had been arrested in connection with the fire. One suspect, a 26-year-old man, was detained at Luton Airport on Saturday.
A 21-year-old man was arrested last Tuesday on suspicion of setting multiple fires in Camden, north London, a day earlier. He has since been charged, including in the case of a fire at a property owned by Starmer.
Starmer lived at the residence until moving into 10 Downing Street after becoming prime minister last summer. He condemned the attacks, calling them “an attack on all of us, on democracy and the values that we stand for.”
