A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region, bringing mostly clear skies and warm temperatures across Cyprus.

After early morning fog and low cloud cover dissipate, Thursday’s weather is expected to be mostly sunny. However, by afternoon, increased cloudiness—particularly over mountainous areas—may lead to isolated showers or a brief thunderstorm. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the southwest to west at 3 to 4 Beaufort, occasionally reaching strong levels of 5 Beaufort along the southeastern coast. Seas will be slightly rough.

Temperatures will rise to around 37°C inland, 31°C along the western coast, 33°C on other coastal areas, and 27°C in the higher elevations.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear, though patches of low cloud or light fog may develop in some areas. Winds will shift from southwest to northwest and remain light at around 3 Beaufort. Seas will be calm to slightly rough. Overnight temperatures will drop to around 23°C inland and along the coast, and 20°C in the mountains.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are expected to remain mostly sunny. Afternoon cloud buildup over the mountains may bring isolated showers. Temperatures will remain steady on Friday, dip slightly on Saturday, and show little change on Sunday, staying near seasonal averages throughout the weekend.
