Snow has fallen in the mountain regions of central Cyprus.
Roads were covered in ice due to the heavy snowfall and schools in the region had to suspend classes.
Due to the icy roads, police warned drivers that the road was only open to vehicles with four-wheel drive or those with chains on their tires.
Some sources also stated that the snow depth increased to 22 cm.
The Meteorological Department has issued a strong wind warning of 6 Beaufort magnitude between 12:00 and 24:00 today.
