Spain’s gross domestic product grew by 3.2 percent last year, the country’s statistical authorities said on Wednesday.
The growth figures released today exceeded forecasts. The Bank of Spain expected growth of 3.1 percent and the government expected a 2.7 percent increase.
The Spanish economy is growing faster than similar-sized economies in the 20-nation eurozone. Germany’s economic growth is forecast to remain at 0.3 percent this year and France’s at 0.9 percent.
