FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Sweden has pledged 16 billion Swedish kronor (1.59 billion USD) in new military assistance to Ukraine, marking its largest package to date.
This brings Sweden’s total military aid to Kyiv to 29.5 billion kronor in 2024 and approximately 80 billion kronor since 2022, according to the Swedish government.
The aid will include air defense systems, artillery, satellite communications, naval support, and equipment sourced from the Swedish Armed Forces and industry.
Swedish Defence Minister Pal Jonson shared the announcement on social media platform X, emphasizing the package’s significance.
