Consultations between the Veterinary Services and livestock farmers on next steps in managing the foot‑and‑mouth outbreak are continuing.
Representatives of farmers’ organizations met Monday with the director of the Veterinary Services, Christodoulos Pippis, in a discussion that lasted just over two hours.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed not to make any public statements until the consultations are completed.
The meeting was part of ongoing contacts on managing the situation following the spread of foot‑and‑mouth disease and the measures being implemented.
