Israel Aerospace Industries said Thursday it will supply the Royal Thai Air Force with its Barak MX integrated air- and missile-defense system, giving Thailand its first medium-range air-defense capability.
The company did not disclose the value or delivery schedule, but Israeli media reported the deal at about $107 million.
IAI said the system will protect Thai airspace against drones, fighter jets, cruise missiles and missiles with ranges up to 150 kilometers. The Barak MX can be configured for both naval and land use, offers rapid operational readiness, and is designed to withstand electronic warfare and cyber threats. It also includes a training system for realistic combat simulation.
