Three people were taken to Nicosia General Hospital early Sunday after a traffic collision on the Limassol–Nicosia highway.
Police said a patrol car with two officers on board was parked on the hard shoulder near GSP Stadium for traffic checks and accident‑prevention duties when, under circumstances still under investigation, a truck crashed into the rear of the vehicle.
Both officers and the truck driver were injured and transported to Nicosia General Hospital, where they are undergoing medical examinations.
