Turkey’s defense and aerospace industry exports rose to $8.5 billion this year, the head of the Presidency of Defense Industries Haluk Görgün said Thursday.
Speaking at the seventh “Defense Industry Meetings” organized by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry and SAHA Istanbul, Görgün highlighted developments across the sector and underscored the importance of supply chain sustainability.
The event brought together government officials, industry leaders and representatives from major defense firms, including Deputy Defense Minister Musa Heybet, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Roketsan General Manager Murat İkinci and ICI Chairman Erdal Bahçıvan.
Görgün said the export milestone reflects the growing role of Turkey’s defense and aerospace sector in global markets.
