Turkey’s LPG imports fall 17% in October

Turkey’s liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports dropped 17% in October compared with the same month last year, totaling 251,262 tons, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority said Wednesday.

The report showed Algeria, Russia, the United States, Kazakhstan and Croatia were the top suppliers. LPG exports fell 28.8% to 27,250 tons, shipped to seven destinations including Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, Romania, Northern Cyprus, Switzerland, Lebanon and Turkey’s free trade zone.

Domestic LPG production rose 2.9% to 77,061 tons. Total sales reached 329,541 tons, with autogas accounting for 82.7% of the market, bottled LPG 14.1% and bulk LPG 3.2%.
