ISTANBUL, Turkey — Turkish Airlines announced Friday it has finalized a major agreement with Boeing to purchase up to 225 aircraft, marking one of the largest fleet expansion deals in the airline’s history.

The order includes 75 wide-body Boeing 787 Dreamliners — 50 firm and 25 optional — with deliveries scheduled between 2029 and 2034. The airline said negotiations are still underway with Rolls-Royce and GE Aerospace for engine supply, spare parts, and maintenance services.

In addition, Turkish Airlines has concluded talks with Boeing for 150 narrow-body 737 MAX jets, consisting of 100 firm orders and 50 options. Finalization of the MAX order is contingent on ongoing discussions with engine manufacturer CFM International.

The announcement followed a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, where the aircraft deal was reportedly among the topics discussed
