Turkish Coast Guard units intercepted two rubber boats carrying 73 irregular migrants, including two children, off the coast of Çeşme, authorities said Thursday.
In a separate operation in the same area, another boat was stopped, and 34 migrants were taken into custody, one of them a child.
Further south, off Seferihisar, a rubber boat with engine failure was reported drifting and requesting assistance.
Rescue teams deployed to the area and safely recovered 30 migrants, including 12 children.
All migrants were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for processing.
The operations reflect ongoing efforts to monitor irregular migration routes across the Aegean Sea, a key corridor for those attempting to reach European shores.
