Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that his country has signed a defense agreement with Indonesia to export 48 units of its domestically developed fighter jet, KAAN.
Indonesia’s local capabilities will also be utilized in the production of KAAN, he said.
Erdogan praised the agreement as a symbol of the deepening ties between Türkiye and Indonesia, referring to Indonesia as a “friend and brother.”
The Turkish Aerospace Industries, a major defense and aviation company in Türkiye, designed, developed, and produced KAAN, the country’s first national combat aircraft. ■
