Türkiye’s seafood and animal products sector increased its exports by about 5 percent in 2025, reaching 4.046 billion dollars, according to data released by the Aegean Exporters’ Associations (EIB).
The sector exported 3.862 billion dollars in 2024. EIB‑affiliated companies accounted for 45 percent of total shipments last year, with 1.84 billion dollars in exports.
Sinan Kızıltan, chair of the Seafood and Animal Products Exporters Sector Board, said seafood led the category with 2.243 billion dollars in exports, representing a 55‑percent share.
The poultry and egg industry exported 1.12 billion dollars. Poultry meat exports rose 8 percent to 723 million dollars, while egg exports fell 14 percent to 397 million dollars.
Exports of dairy products increased 13 percent to 409 million dollars. Milk powder stood out as the main driver, jumping 60 percent from 47.4 million to 78 million dollars. Türkiye, the world’s second‑largest honey producer, exported 33.5 million dollars’ worth of honey in 2025.
Kızıltan said the sector’s export target for 2026 has been set at 4.3 billion dollars.
