Two suspected cases of foot-and-mouth disease are under investigation in the villages of Pendakomo and Avgorou, areas where no cases had previously been detected, newspaper Alithia and other outlets reported.
The newspaper stressed that no cases had previously been recorded in either village, adding that the suspected cases do not yet display the full range of symptoms.
Further tests are awaited to confirm whether they are indeed cases of the disease.
