Cyprus has a clear plan in place to implement the measures agreed on Sunday to address the foot‑and‑mouth outbreak, President Nikos Christodoulides has said.
Speaking in Pachna, the president said he fully understands the concerns expressed by livestock farmers, but added that the current crisis could also serve as an opportunity to strengthen the sector and resolve long‑standing problems.
“The government will do everything possible to revive livestock farming in Cyprus,” Christodoulides said.
