FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE — U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink is stepping down, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce announced Thursday.
A specific departure date has not been disclosed.
Brink, nominated by former President Joe Biden and confirmed unanimously by the Senate in May 2022, has been a vocal supporter of U.S. military aid to Ukraine.
Her resignation comes at a pivotal time in U.S.-Ukraine relations, as President Donald Trump signals a shift in foreign policy and tensions rise following a contentious meeting where Trump and Vice President JD Vance criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for seeking U.S. security guarantees.
