The United Kingdom will deliver 85,000 drones to Ukraine by the end of the year, the British Ministry of Defence announced Tuesday ahead of a NATO defense ministers’ meeting in Brussels.
In addition to the drone shipment, the UK is sending military drone experts to Moldova to support regional defense efforts.
The initiative is part of a broader push by NATO allies to increase pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and bolster Ukraine’s battlefield capabilities. British officials say the goal is to strengthen Ukraine’s position and encourage diplomatic negotiations.
