UN Secretary‑General António Guterres has full confidence in his personal envoy and agrees that more progress is needed between the leaders in Cyprus, his spokesman Stéphane Dujarric said Tuesday.
Asked about the recent opinion piece by María Ángela Holguín, Dujarric said the article reflects her observations about conditions on the ground.
He added that there has been no pause in contacts, which continue at various levels to support both sides.
