The US State Department has notified Congress of a planned arms sale to Israel worth $8 billion, reports the online newspaper Axios.
The deal includes missiles for fighter jets and helicopters, bombs and guidance systems, and artillery ammunition, two sources with direct knowledge of the matter told Axios .
Before the sale can be completed, it must be approved by the foreign affairs committees in both houses of Congress. The deal is worth around 90 billion kroner.
