Authorities are investigating possible links between four recent criminal incidents in Larnaca and the discovery of weapons and large quantities of narcotics in a prefabricated warehouse in Kokkinotrimithia.
Police believe the facility may have been used by a criminal network involving Syrian nationals.
The group is preliminarily connected to an attempted murder of a security guard and the arson of four rental vehicles on August 14 in the Pyla area.
Speaking on RIK, police spokesperson Kyriaki Lambrianidou confirmed that ballistic tests are underway and that all scenarios remain open.
