Cross‑border civil protection workshops will be held today in the village of Skarinou, near Larnaca, as part of an effort to strengthen community resilience and expand public involvement in disaster preparedness.

The sessions, hosted at the Environmental Information Centre of Rural Larnaca, are being carried out under the ACT4ALL project and will bring together 25 participants from Cyprus and Crete, including local‑authority representatives and volunteer groups.

Anna Kosma of the Larnaca–Famagusta Development Company said the workshops are designed to improve cooperation between the two regions, exchange expertise and promote best practices in responding to natural disasters.

ACT4ALL is funded through the Interreg VI‑A Greece–Cyprus 2021–2027 program and focuses on increasing citizen engagement and strengthening operational readiness amid rising climate‑related risks.
