FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – At least 12 people died Sunday in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur area when the vehicle they were traveling in fell into a well, according to police.
The victims were on their way to a temple when the accident occurred.
The vehicle reportedly collided with a motorcycle before plunging into the well.
The motorcyclist died on the spot, and one rescuer who jumped into the well also lost their life, according to media reports.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended condolences and announced compensation of 200,000 Indian Rupees (approximately $2,343) for the family of each victim.
