Cyprus police arrested 13 people as part of the force’s ongoing drive to crack down on illegal immigration.
The arrests came during an operation carried out by the Aliens and Immigration Unit in the city and district of Limassol.
Officers from the Limassol and Paphos branches of the unit, working alongside members of the Green Line Surveillance Sub-Directorate, tracked down and detained the 13 for remaining in the Republic unlawfully.
Three of those arrested have already left Cyprus and returned to their countries of origin, police said, while repatriation proceedings continue for the remainder.
