FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Authorities in Limassol are investigating a serious case involving allegations of conspiracy to commit a felony, forgery, circulation of counterfeit documents, misrepresentation to obtain property, and facilitation of illegal entry, transit, and residence in Cyprus.

The suspected offenses reportedly occurred between November 2024 and March 2025.

According to a complaint filed with the Limassol Crime Investigation Department (CID), a 33-year-old woman claimed she paid €12,000 to arrange her unlawful transfer to Cyprus from abroad.

A 50-year-old man is among the suspects in the case, accused of providing the woman with fake European passports and assuring her that she could later travel to a specific European destination.

An arrest warrant was issued against the man, who was subsequently apprehended shortly after midnight and remains in custody.
