At least 26 students were injured, eight of them critically, in a traffic accident in northwest Türkiye on Wednesday morning, the national public broadcaster TRT reported.
The crash occurred in the Merkez Pamukcu area of Balikesir Province, as a school bus, carrying 29 passengers, collided with a truck and overturned.
“All students have been transferred to hospitals, and further updates will be provided as developments occur,” said Balikesir Governor Ismail Ustaoglu on X.
Emergency services, including ambulances, gendarmerie, police, and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene.
