FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE — German Economy Minister Katherina Reiche warned Friday that Germany is losing millions of euros each day due to a tariff dispute with the United States.
“Over 6,000 German companies have production facilities in the United States, in all 50 states. They employ 900,000 people,” Reiche said during a visit to Washington aimed at bolstering European Union efforts in ongoing tariff negotiations.
During her trip, which concludes Saturday, Reiche met with key U.S. officials including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Commerce Secretaries Howard Lutncik and Jamieson Greer. She is also scheduled to meet with business leaders to discuss the economic fallout of the dispute.
