FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The Meteorological Service has issued a yellow alert for unusually high temperatures expected on Tuesday.
Temperatures are forecast to reach 41 degrees Celsius inland and 33 degrees Celsius in mountainous regions. The advisory will be in effect from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Officials are urging residents to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours and to take precautions to stay cool and hydrated.
